Default What is the good armour at Yaks Bend?

Just wondering what the best armour for a warrior is. The chain or the ascalon?

Thanks in advance.

Such is the question I have asked myself many a time...

Then I spent a fortune on that ribbly whyvern armour and forgot all about it.

Default Ahh

The best armor at Yak's bend is the Gladiator set, except for the helm which I use a Wyvern helm.

At Yak's Bend? The chain. Chain's 50+20, Wyvern 55+10, Ascalon 50+10 with a built-in Rune of Minor Absorbtion, Gladiator's 50+20 energy+8. Why spend nearly double on a marginal upgrade to your equipment which is going to be replaced in short order anyway? Unless you have money to burn take the cheap suit and run with it, because it's as good if not better than the others and a lot less costly. I suppose you could make an argument for Gladiator's especially as the resource it requires (Tanned Hides or something?) is a lot more common and obtainable, in that area anyway, than the Scales and Fur Squares, and it gives the same amount of protection with a nice bonus to your energy. However, you're a Warrior so energy isn't all that important to you to begin with, and if you need energy you can always find a focus and learn how to quick swap.

Now, for post-ascention gear, avoid Chain or whatever replaces it (Platemail, I think) like the plague and splurge for whatever suit catches your fancy because you'll be wearing it for a while. For me, that's Gladiator as I find a +5/-10AL bonus negligable, and I intend to have an Absorbtion rune anyway, so I might as well grab that extra energy because with that and a good focus I can get around 40 energy...
